As is becoming increasingly common for mental health treatment, the Center for Precision Psychology is an out-of-network provider. Patients must pay out-of-pocket on the date of service via check, cash, credit card, or HSA/FSA card.
If you are new to out-of-network, I can provide some insights. The process is more straightforward than it might seem. Some insurance companies offer reimbursement. As requested, you can receive the necessary documentation to submit for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Patients are responsible for submitting their own reimbursements.

Individual therapy begins with an intake session focused on identifying your goals and what you hope to gain from treatment. As part of our precision approach, you have the option to complete a comprehensive psychological assessment at intake. In other clinics, this type of specialized assessment is reserved for patients who are not responding to treatments and can cost thousands of dollars. Doing thorough assessments first reduces trial-and-error and tailors the treatments to your needs right from the start. While recommended and priced to be accessible, the comprehensive psychological assessment is optional—you are welcome to start therapy using a standard, 38–52 minute intake.
Standard-of-care Intake Session ($400):
38–52 minute interview with feedback.
Self-report assessments of symptoms (e.g., IDAS-II, PROMIS).
Intake documentation with treatment recommendations.
Comprehensive Psychological Assessment Intake ($950 total cost):
2.5+ hours of face-to-face contact: ~120 minute intake interview, separate 38–52 minute feedback session.
Comprehensive testing of personality and mental health symptoms (e.g., MMPI-3, MPQ, IDAS-II).
Comprehensive record review, integration of past medical/psychiatric findings.
Psychological assessment report with tailored psychotherapy treatment recommendations.
Individual Psychotherapy Session Types:
16–37 minute ($160).
38–52 minute (most typical; $230).
~90 minutes (e.g., prolonged exposure therapy; $310).
A typical course of psychotherapy with one treatment approach lasts between 6–12 treatment sessions. Some approaches are shorter (IRT; about 4 sessions) while others are longer (TLDP; 14-20 sessions). Self-report measures are used throughout treatment to help people better appreciate their improvement.
Ongoing individual psychotherapy with Dr. Marquardt is not a requirement for participation in group psychotherapy.
Intake ($400):
38–52 minute interview with feedback.
Assessment of symptoms (e.g., IDAS-II, PROMIS).
Intake documentation assessing eligibility.
Group psychotherapy session:
90–120 minutes ($135).
The 'Blueprint for Living Group' involves 3 modules, 9 weeks each (27 sessions) and the 'Rekindling Joy Group' involves 9 sessions. Self-report measures are used before and after treatment to help people better appreciate their improvement.
I offer extended psychological assessments for individuals with complex or unclear clinical presentations. These evaluations are especially helpful in cases involving trauma, anxiety, or treatment-resistant depression. For example, I conduct comprehensive assessments for PTSD using the CAPS-5 semi-structured interview.
When treatment isn’t working as expected, a thorough assessment can provide much-needed insight and help determine what to try next. These assessments are often requested by other providers to support treatment planning and diagnostic clarification. Each report is personalized to the referral source with clear, research-informed recommendations that can mark an important turning point in the recovery process.
